The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5 30ml

I'm honestly not sure if it's doing anything, I was hoping it would reduce my dark eye circles after reading a review that said it helped, but no such luck. It does feel like it's moisturizing my face but I can't put it on my hormonal acne (which I put salicylic acid on) because it ends up making it more red. This has a water texture so it drips a bit everywhere while you're trying to put drops on your face (and putting it on your hands to then rub on your face doesn't make your face feel as moisturized). Has a fun tingle. Takes a bit of time to sink in, and then I use the ordinary moisturizer. Face feels sticky for a while but hydrated.

I have been using this for a week and it has made a marked difference in keeping my skin well hydrated and healthy looking. I didn’t Expect much from this product actually, because the product description was not yet posted when I purchased it on Deciem and I was skeptical that it really could do much above and beyond the other NIOD and The Ordinary serums that I aleeady use to help boost hydration (such as the Buffet, Buffet with Copper Peptides, or Hydration Vaccine) before layering with a moisturizing cream or oil. I just purchased it as part of a larger order because it is new. But I am surprised that it certainly does do much more to boost hydration than any other serums I use for that purpose. It’s a stark difference in my skin’s moister level. As I read these reviews I know different people often have different results from the same product, but for me this one is a no-brainer, especially at the price point.

Once the temperature dropped my skin was really starting to dry out. I started layering this under Hada Labo Premium and it was a game changer. Within a week my skin is once again plump, hydrated and glowing. I’m adding this to my HG list.

This is by far my favourite skincare product! I have extremely dry and sensitive skin that breaks out very easily. This serum is all I need to keep it well hydrated and smooth for the whole day and it doesn't cause any breakouts. I only wish it came in a bigger bottle!

Love it. The texture is Věry watery. I love the ingredients list witch high amino acids good for skin barrier and the 5% panthenol which is great for soothing and also enhancing skin barrier which are two top things I want in my skincare To aim at. Obsessed! I was a bit skeptical at first, since I have a pretty oily T zone and acne prone skin, but I can not get enough of this stuff. After about a month of use, I can say my face has never felt (literally felt to the touch) better. It makes me face so soft and smooth. It hydrates without leaving any type of oil residue behind. Just purchased. Used it for the first time today, and after a standard patch-test, I bravely tried it on a patch of very dry and irritated skin on my wrist (eczema). I suffer from eczema on my neck, chest, and hands/wrists. Though I am not claiming this product will "cure" severe skin conditions... I can say that my skin was immediately hydrated and less irritated after 1 application. I've tried countless oils and creams for my eczema... Bought this 4 months ago and am really impressed with the results. At first, I used a little too sparingly, but after watching a video explaining its benefits, I decided to be a little more generous with the amount used (after all, it's not expensive at all). And boy, what a difference! My skin feels very smooth and hydrated, my dry patches are gone and the redness and irritation are very soothed. I found that this even had healing properties. And I truly find that this helps me to compensate for the effects for some stronger products I use (acids and retinol). I use this at night before moisturizer.

This is a holy grail product for me. I bought for first time around 2019 or 2020 and I still use it twice a day. It has saved my skin barrier and keeps my skin from drying out with added protection. I am 44 with dry, sensitive skin. I use this after double cleansing and before my toner, so step #3. I will buy it for life.

truly nothing makes my skin softer than this does, & it even spreads enough to use the residual for my hands after applying it to my face. also great for frizz control and very refreshing on the scalp, i would use this head to toe if i could afford to!

I love how this keeps my skin hydrated but I get milia or tiny bumps on my face because of it. I know it's this product that's causing it. Every time I stopped it went away and every time I started using it, it unfortunately came back. Anybody have any advice if you went through something similar? I use about 4 drops on damp face. If nothing works, I'll use it on my body so it doesn't go to waste. I'm also looking for an alternative with the same properties.

I've used this for a while and I am going back for more. I only need two drops for application. I used it before anything else with the exception of vitamin c, I would use it after that and I'd wait a bit. I find it helps my moisturiser work better for me and my skin looks like it has more glow.

This is a great hydrator for my skin. I use it twice a day and won't ever be without it. I love the price and how it keeps my skin hydrated.

Im angry with myself that i didnt try the ordinary some years ago. I wouldnt have struggled with my skin so much.. my skin always been dry but also oily, big pores, blackheads and pimples. I bought expensive creams and gels but also tried almost everything for oily skin that was sold at the drug. My skin felt dry but produced a lot of oil after only 2-3 hours. Now my skin feels totally new. I clean my face morning and evening only with a hot damp towel (always a fresh one), when im wearing make up i rub it off with oil before. Then i spray my face with distilled water, massage 3 drops of niacinamide into my skin, let it dry, spray it again and pat on 5 drops of amino acids, hyaluronic acid around mouth and eyes, spray it again and use 3 drops of squalane. Im so happy with this routine!!! No breakouts, no blackheads, no oily skin, no dry skin. I dont even need to exfoliate regularly anymore. When it feels a little sandy once or twice a month i use some drops of mandelic acid after washing my face and leave it on for 20 minutes before i continue my routine. Wish i figured this out in my twenties.. in a week ill be 31 bc and i have finally the skin i always wanted. Big thanks to the ordinary!!!

Amino Acids +B5 is, to me, the unsung hero of The Ordinary's line. This serum has a very lightweight, thin consistency without slip or heaviness. It leaves a very silky finish when layered properly, too. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and I absolutely think that the difference in my skin is easily discernible both long term and *after each use*. I have oily-combination skin and I am in recovery from an impaired barrier and dehydration. This is TO's most cosmetically elegant product *ever* given the way it performs exceptionally well with direct contact and when blended with my moisturizer. For reference, I wear a squalane heavy cream and I've never had any pilling or weirdness when blended with Amino Acids +B5. I would highly recommend blending this serum with another non-active product if you're interested in the lipid benefits of the amino acids and the humectant and anti-inflammatory benefits of panthenol, but are concerned about the sensation (it does tingle, every time). In my opinion, this serum is more immediately and consistently effective than anything else I've tried from TO, plus it's a very smooth formula without stickiness. I'd love to see this serum get a 60ml upgrade like "Buffet" and Niacinamide +Zinc, but I almost think that it's flying under the radar too much, compared to things like Hyaluronic Acid and even Marine Hyaluronics. I've used all of the aforementioned products and I absolutely think Amino Acids +B5 is better than the rest. For me, the all star lineup from The Ordinary is Amino Acids +B5, Mandelic Acid 10%, and the Azelaic Acid Suspension. I genuinely could not recommend them enough!

Amazing product!!! I have dry and flaky skin. First I tried to use hyaluronic acid, but I guess because of very dry skin and low humidity at my place I got even worse.. But this serum changed everything. I felt amazing from the first time I put it on my skin. My dry skin condition changed after few weeks of using this serum. It is not greasy and sticky, it is very watery, so it absorbs very well and quickly.After application my skin feels very soft and hydrated. That is why I love it so much. I actually can't live without this product anymore.

I have combo skin, with dry T-zone. I use it both morning and night. I use Retin-A and applying the amino acids before my retin-A has helped with the sensitivity i get when i use it daily. It doesnt feel tacky at all. Very nice product for me. I tend to get acne whenever i try any new product, this only didnt really affect my skin negatively, just nicely hydrated.

I have been using this for a month. Went on a trip and got really sunburnt and so was trying to recover my skin….now this is literally all i need (plus spf). It makes my skin so moisturized and soft without even using any moisturizer

Such a great product! I was recommended this by someone at a Deceim , after talking to them about my skin and regimen I had at the time, turns out I have dry skin ( I always thought it was normal, tells you how much I knew). Anyway, after using this for a few days I was really able to see and feel a difference in my skin! It feels really soft and hydrated now after using, especially when used after the TO Squalane Cleanser. I have dry, often dehydrated skin, I use this every day as a first thing after washing my face. No smell, no texture, very very light watery serum, goes in to the skin immediately, and fits with other serums well. I would recommend!

I’m addicted to this product. Without it my skin flares up I do not know why. I use it immediately after cleansing. Then use it again to dissolve Vitamin C powder. Honestly, I use a full bottle for in just 2 & a half weeks. I love it so much. ❤️‍🔥

Of all the many serums I have tried from the Ordinary, and any other skincare line, this is without a doubt my favorite. I buy it again and again. I would say the best way to describe the effect this has on my fair, dry, sensitive skin is: strength. My skin feels protected, firm, bouncy, and strong after I use it. It is light and feels like a deep drink of water. When I ruined my skin barrier a few years ago I broke out in acne and dry skin patches. This serum helped re my skin barrier and clear my skin. I’m 29. I have been using this for about 4 years. I wear it morning and night under my moisturizers. It will continue to be a staple of my routine indefinitely.

Bonjour. J'espère que mon avis en français serait utile. J'ai adoré ce sérum parce que il hydrate parfaitement ma peau sensible. De plus avec ma chimiothérapie actuelle je ne peux pas utiliser n'importe quoi, j'ai cherché ce que je peux utiliser pour hydrater ma peau, donc ce produit me va très bien. Je l'utilise avant matrixil et la crème hydratante.

I had very dry skin and my forehead felt like sandpaper! I had used all kinds of moisturizer but I wasn't happy with any of them. This product is great! My skin now glows, has much more elasticity and I can feel it fresh and moisturized. It's very easy to use and not at all oily.

I started using this a month ago when I moved from the humidity of Texas to the dry conditions in Arizona. It readily absorbs into my skin leaving a soft texture. I just bought a second bottle and am very pleased with it.
