The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% 30ml

I have been using this product for about three months after receiving a facial at which it was recommended. Clears up a tendency toward small white heads.

Gives me an amazing glow without having to worry about irritation! My skin also feel very hydrated after using this. I have been struggling to find a high strength Mandelic acid in Sweden. Mandelic acid is the AHA that gives me the best glow.

I have found the acid for my skin!!!! I've used acid from different brands: Lactic acid from The Ordinary, Framboos from Drunk Elephant, Good Gene from Sunday Riley. They all gave me so-so result: some brightening, but act very slow on sebum, whiteheads, clogged pores, etc. It took about the same amount of time (5-7 days) for those to go away with or without using of acid. HOWEVER, this mandelic acid acted so fast on the whiteheads near the brow, and they were almost gone after two nights!!! The overall brightening effect is also more visible. The texture feels hydrating, probably thanks to the HA. So I recommend to try this out. (ps. I'm Asian and 31

Hello everyone. This is my first review in my life. I really have a complicated skin type, but this and few other product really do miracles! I really like the concept of the ordinary. Thank you sooooo much for not adding unnecessary ingredients, especially oils into your products. With the ordinary I can get only what I need, this is such a relief !!!!

I have sensitive and reactive skin and this product didn't cause any redness or burning. It is really gentle on my face. First I used 1 drop once a week. for 2 weeks and not on neck after cleansing Squalane or Cerave and 20 minutes followed by the Ordinary Natural moisturiser, always in the evening. The third week I used 2 drops twice a week. Now, I use 3 drops in my face and 1 drop for my neck. And I am amazed by the results. My face used to have always red areas, now I don't have it anymore. My skin is so much more even. I never had my face so good like this. I never had the skin so even. I have some dark spots that are brightening. I have no doubts with the continuou use, it will disappear completely. My skin is more stretched, but the lines and wrinkles didn't go. I hope to see more results as I am now using 3 times a week. I don't use it everyday cause I want to use retinol the other evenings. My skin is growing, brighter, more even, more stretched, smoother. It really works.

This stuff, is the best ever. I’ve always had tiny bumps and texture on my cheeks, forehead, etc. It makes all my bumps disappear overnight. It’s like magic in a bottle!!!

Hi, everyone. I have rosacea and was concerned about flaring up when I first used it. Actually, there was a slight reaction so I waited a couple of days to use it again. Then I increased the frequency and it is going great. My skin is so smooth and calmed. I would like to ask the brand if you have to stop after a while and then go back to it or if you can use it non-stop in your routine as I am doing right now.

I love this product. I use after cleansing and the next day my skin is sooo smooth (its like using an exfoliator without the irritation).

I see instant result whenever I use this product. I feel like it's really strong but gentle at the same time. It has been effective on my irregular skin texture. I use it with moderation when I feel the need.

So happy there is a mandelic acid in the line! Have been hearing people rave about the product but I needed to wait for TO to release one and omg it was worth the wait - I used this at night and literally the next morning my skin was bright and glowing and so smooth to the touch - glad I picked up 2 because I do not want to be without this!

I've used this ONCE, last night, and woke up with my sun spots so much lighter, and texture noticeably smoothed! I bought a mix of the following products and have been alternating to correct my redness with large pores on cheek areas, hyperpigmentation everywhere but mainly on bridge of nose and larger sun spots on outer cheek area, and to smooth smile lines. This is day 5 or 6 and I am finally for the first time in YEARS going confidently bare-faced. Kinda mad I spent so much on temporary IPL when all these products have offered a much better result. I find in switching from the Salicylic Acid 2% Anhydrous Solution - which I used religiously for nearly a year - to this has significantly helped my skin. No new breakouts since starting to use it a couple of months ago. HOWEVER I use it in conjunction with Retinol Emulsion, Niacinamide, the Peel and Salicylic Masque plus moisturiser etc (obs not all at the same time!) so I can't be 100% sure it is exclusively down to this! I have had problem skin from my early teens with spots that have never been diagnosed as acne but probably is/was and now in my early 50's I (did) still have acne plus dull, dry skin and gigantic pores. I am slowly getting through supplies of products that I will not repurchase to simplify my time-consuming, convoluted (to me but not younger folk I surmise) routine. I will definitely keep this though. Sack and watery, absorbs well, I use at night appox 2/3 times a week so can't comment regarding makeup. Bearing in mind the other products my skin is less dry, visually less congestion, incredibly smooth, massive reduction in pore size with an overall reduction in visible pores and a touch brighter. I have not had a single spot for nearly 3 months. I have been using this for 2.5 months.

I've always had impossible to remove and very dark scars from acne that don't go away for almost a year if ever and this is the only product of many that I've tried that works on me! It's not a miracle worker, but I'm amazed that these dark scars are clearer within 2 weeks of use. My skin is much softer and even, I don't break out as much and I even feel it's moisturizing. After some time you can actually see the remnants of your old dead skin. The pimples and acne I get dry out quickly. I started using it interdaily, but after seeing the results from the first week I started using it every day at night. I've tried the salicylic acid, the glycolic acid and the lactic acid from the ordinary, but none of them ever worked on me for these scars like this Mandelic Acid. This is a game changer for me as it targets SO many of my skin concerns at once and I am super glad of this product. I ordered it from Amazon just to try it out, but I'll be ordering again and again once it runs out. Wish it could come in a bigger bottle just so I can enjoy the benefits more. Overall it makes my skin softer, more even, moisturized, unclogged and dimishes the dark scars from acne. I mean... simply amazing!

This product really is amazing. I have wildly sensitive and intolerant skin so I thought I would never be able to use a direct acid - for example I have never been able to use any other types or even spot treatments without acid burning my skin and drying it out horridly. This however has provided an amazing level of exfoliation. For reference I use it one night per week and have been getting progressively smoother and more even tone skin (I use retinol on the other nights of the week). Will never stop using. AMAZING. This product is easy to use and a little goes a long way.I first used it every 3 days but I can now use it daily with only a little peeling.It feels lovely on my skin and I have noticed some of my discoloured blotches have lightened. I have gone through about three bottles of this because I love it. I am always trying new things and never stick to anything as I never really feel things make a difference. This does. I wake up with glowing healthy younger looking skin every morning. Honestly. My daughter came in the other morning and said wow mum your skin looks amazing. Just ordered my 4th bottle

I cannot express how much the Ordinary has changed my skin. The Ordinary has completely eradicated all my skin problems. For the last two years I have struggled with hormonal acne and stress acne from university. I was fighting constant cycles of cystic breakouts with massive scarring. I've spent thousands on thousands of dollars on "high-end" products which NEVER cleared the issue. It was exhausting spending so much money on such products without any results even to be seen. Until I came across the Ordinary. The Ordinary products have completely transformed my skin!! So excited to have found this product! My skin has changed so much since hitting my 40's and I have been struggling to find something to help the textural irregularities and dullness of my sensitive skin. This is IT! I didnt think it possible, but I noticed smoother skin the next day! This is now a 'must have' in my skin care regime. I look forward to seeing results over the coming weeks :)

A lovely product. It works well on my combination skin which is oily in the T zone and pretty dry on the cheek. I notice result on the texture after the first week. I use it together with the hyaluronic acid also from The Ordinary. I would like something stronger for my sunspots and fine line and am considering using Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum, along with this Mandelic acid. Could someone advise can I use these two projects together?

This is my favourite product! I asked Deciem to help me with my oily ,acne prone skin and they recommended me this. The Mandelic is very gentle and hydrating. I use it 3 times a week,PM only and with the Natural Moisturising Factors. The 2 work great together . I also use Niacinamide and Vitamin C suspension and HA spheres (never on the same day) and ,honestly , I love looking in the mirror at my bare face :) Thank you Deciem for these amazing products.

Honestly, their line is amazing. And I'm a skeptical buyer. I use this after the toner and it's guaranteed to make my skin glow the next day.Pimples reduced, redness reduced, evens skin tone and texture as it said it would do.I love it. A little goes a long way.

I'm not completely sold on this product and haven't had the same results other reviewers experienced. My skin definitely feels tighter and I haven't been breaking out with the cystic acne I usually get, but skin tone has not improved and the red scarring on my face isn't fading. Maybe I need to add a product to get the most out of this one or use a completely different product, but after reading the reviews I thought this one would be sufficient. Gorgeous stuff! I alternate this with Vit C and Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane and at 48 my skin is the best it has ever been. I use it along with HA and Buffet no problem, a wonderfull addition to the TO range.

My holy grail product. I began getting acne when I turned 30 after never having it in my life. Once I stopped breastfeeding, it went haywire. I had painful cystic acne all ofer my face and nothing was helping. I couldnt even touch my face without feeling like I had been punched. I tried tret, birth control (three different kinds!), chemical exfoliants, physical exfoliants, a million face washes, rebuilding my skin barrier, slugging, prescription acne medication... EVERYTHING. I probably replaced every step of my skincare routine a dozen times over two years. I had scarring and red marks that would never go away and it was really looking like this was going to be my life forever. I tried Mandelic Acid 10% + HA as a last ditch effort and immediately noticed my skin looked better the next morning. I have been using it for two weeks and have not had a SINGLE new pimple in that time. My redness is going away, my comedomes are gone, this product saved my self esteem!

It has only been 4 days but I feel the need to leave the review cause it is a magic in the bottle. I am suffering from clogged pores and fungal acne here and there and I have also a picky choosy and a little sensitive skin so I am always nervous when I change my skin routine. This stuff cleared it all up in 2 days, I was shocked. My skin loves this stuff, it's now so smooth, textured free. I use this only in the PM and I wait at least 15mins before I layer up with another skincare (i use La Roche Posay Effaclar after) I can't wait what it can do in a month. Thank you so much

At age 60+, I still have issues with chin acne eruptions. Regular use of this product not only helps keep them under control, but also keeps the texture of my whole face more smooth.

I have finnicky skin. I also suffer from milia. Retinoid only helps so much and I needed something to gentle exfoliate the top layer of my skin too. I’ve used this twice so far and it’s made my skin feel smooth. I’ve used glycolic acid in the past and it’s always made my skin angry and irritated. This is super gentle.

This is my third week of using this product. Purchased in hopes of reducing pigmentation caused by pimples. Used on daily basis, first week only on the chin to see if it would cause redness/breakouts; the product did not cause any major breakouts, but did cause flakiness, which is natural due to the AHA (personally able to tolerate). On second week, applied product on cheeks. I have sensitive skin, so application process as follows: one pump of product into palm, massage gently into skin, leave on for a few hours, rinse off, continue normal skincare routine. After 4 days of utilising this process, I’ve noticed significant improvement in the texture and brightness of my skin. Also, areas prone to breakouts (such as the cheeks) have been exceptionally smoother. Noted slight improvement in appearance of hyperpigment spots. Overall, very pleased with this product. It evens out the skin and prevents my skin from breaking out. Four stars given because product feels very oily when applied (for oily skin, this may not be too pleasing). But it fully absorbs into skin after a few minutes. Will continue use and definitely purchase again.

Mandelic acid slightly exfoliates my dry skin, I am very pleased with this product

My skin loves this stuff. The acid is gentle enough that I can pretty much douse my face in this serum immediately after cleansing, and the hyaluronic acid does a great job of moisturizing. I wake up with extremely hydrated and refined skin. Recommend!

Okay srsly I've only used this for 5 days and I already saw a difference after the first night I used it!! My skin was horrible - I was breaking out due to period and unhealthy eating - and when I used it the day after, my pores were tightened and smoothed over, my spots were shrunk up, inflammation and redness reduced and my skin tone looked evened out. I will continue to use this, I love it. I've been using this in the first step of my night skin care routine, followed by niacinamide then MAP 10%. I find that this routine was the most effective in tackling my skin problems at the moment and seems to make my skin glow and clear out breakouts.

This product mildly exfoliates my skinbut I can see a difference with daily use. Most of AHA's leaves my skin irritated and dehydrated but this product even slightly hydrates my skin. In terms of hydration and exfoliation it is eaqualy as great as NAAP. Love it!
